Several years' development of procedure for the production of micro drillings by means of laser technology and spark erosion (EDM) assures the GFH a big know-how.
On the one hand we work hard materials and hardly to be worked on materials like hardened steel, hard metal, ceramics and diamond. Just as well standard materials can be bored very exactly like high-grade steel, copper alloys and plastics.
There is a great amount of hole forms: from circularly towards elliptically and polygon up to free forms. The depth of the bore can be cylindrical, or dilate conical or narrow.
Laser technology as well as the erosion procedure can generate very small and exact holes with aspect relations up to 15. Furthermore thin tins, foils and layers are bored (almost freely of burrs) with very high speed to produce thousands of holes per minute, e.g. for perforations or filter applications.
