The liquid loops are suited especially for deflashing and rounding of cross- sectional variations in components (injection pumps and injection nozzles, …).
A liquid (depending on the application an abrasive fluid is added) is rinsed with high pressure trough the component.
The edges are rounded and preceding material aggregations (burrs) are removed. In addition an improvement of the surface up to Ra < 1 µm is achieved.
Another advantage of the fluid grinding is the possibility of Inline-flow measurement.
The process step has to be developed for every application case especially, to gain the demanded flow tolerances (< +/-1 %) in the run production (e.g. from injection nozzles) and the geometry of the edges resulting from the simulation results. On account of the big number of treatment parameters (form, sluggish medium, amplitude of the abrasive gain, abrasive gain contingent, temperature, hole diameter, hole angle, number of the holes, …) a production process development is needed to set up the best relation between treatment duration and treatment result.
