GL.trepan - Helical drilling optic

The GL.trepan is a helical drilling optic for the production of precision boreholes with accuracies in the micron range. Trepaning with an angled beam enables to influence the borehole geometry (positive and negative taper) and results in a significant increase in drilling efficiency.

The trepaning optic is available as option for the GFH laser micro machining systems and as an OEM system.

•  Drilling diameter: 0 – 500 µm
•  Circularity of the orbit: 1 µm @ d = 100 µm
•  Negative and positive taper: 100 µm/mm
•  Accuracy of the path: +/- 1%
•  Process gas nozzle optional
•  Separation of trepaning unit and focusing optic
•  Simple change of focussing lense
